What Do Marking Flag and Tape Colors Mean?

Yellow: Gas-Oil-Steam, Petroleum, and Gaseous Materials

Orange: Communications, Telephone, Cable TV, Alarm and Signal Lines

Blue: Potable Water

Purple: Reclaimed Water, Irrigation and Slurry

Green: Sanitary Sewers, Storm Sewers, Drain Lines
